What are unit trust transfers?
Endowus allows you to transfer your mutual fund holdings from your existing financial institutions onto the Endowus Fund Smart platform! Transfers made through this process are free of charge, and as there is no buying and selling of funds, you can maintain the amount of time you have had in the market. You may also save hundreds to thousands of dollars, capitalising on our 100% Cashback on trailer fees.
How do I start this process of transferring my Unit Trust holdings over to Endowus?
Simply submit your Unit Trust Transfer-In Form and supporting documents. One of our client advisors will reach out personally to follow-up!
Note: Once the Unit Transfers are completed and the units in the funds are transferred to Endowus, Endowus is not able to support the transfer of such units to another custodian or platform. To avoid doubt, this does not restrict your ability to liquidate your investments held through Endowus.

What is the minimum transfer value?
The minimum transfer amount is set at:
- HK $10,000 for existing funds
- HK $250,000 for new share classes of existing funds that we have on platform
- HK $500,000 for new funds

Can I transfer to any funds that are available in Hong Kong?
- If the fund is already on the Endowus Fund Smart platform, there are no issues.

If the Fund is not on the Endowus platform,
- (if it is a different share class) For new share classes to be onboarded, they will follow the monthly cadence we have in place.
- (if it is a new Fund) Our Investment Office will need to go through the SMART+ screening process before we decide to onboard the fund.
- Please note that the onboarding of new funds is done on a discretionary basis.
Can I make the transfer for Professional Investor (PI) funds?
- Only Endowus-validated PI clients can transfer in PI funds.

How long does it take to transfer my funds from other banks/distributors?

The whole process can take 2 weeks or more, depending on the processing speed of the bank/distributor. On average, we see that the time taken is 6-8 weeks.
